Tree of Life Mixed Media Workshop

Conducted by artist Susan Schrott, this two week creative journey for adults ages 18 and up explores personal growth, identity and connection through the art of mixed media. Conducted in two, 2-hour sessions, the workshop uses symbolic imagery, collage, watercolor and drawing to create a unique Tree of Life collage that tells your story.

In the first week, students will learn basic techniques, explore Tree of Life symbolism, and begin creating your tree’s roots and trunk using meaningful imagery, photographs, and found materials. During the second week you’ll add watercolor, layers, and texture to bring your Tree to life. Materials, including magazines, watercolor paints, textured papers, drawing tools, glue, and more, will be provided. You are welcome to bring personal photos or keepsakes to include in your collage.

The workshop takes place July 8 and 15 from 10am to Noon. Fee is $60 and class size is limited to 15 total participants.
